Spec Your Space

Spec Your Space

Step 2: Spec Your Space

Take a look at your garden’s landscape. Is the surface even? Do you require walls for greater privacy? Would you like to elevate an area to create a sun trap for those long summer evenings? Perhaps you want to incorporate a sunken fire pit or build a BBQ?

1. Perfectly fitting flag stones

The huge range of textures, colours and shapes available means there is a flagstone to complement any garden style. An important consideration when it comes to speccingyour garden is the balance between hard and soft landscaping. Some people love pruning, weeding and watering while others hate it. If you are looking for a low maintenance option (which let’s face it, most of us are) our TerraPave Ground Flag has a smooth finish that removes the likelihood of dirt catching and is very easy to clean. Manor Stone Flags are also super popular and work well alongside our Fuge Jointing Mortar which deters the growth of weeds.

2. Retaining walls that redefine your garden

Retaining walls are an economical, straight forward way to create different levels in your garden. There is a huge range to choose from. Think about what height of wall you might need. Low running walls can beautifully define your garden, mark borders and help draw the eye to focal points such as a statement water feature or an accent flowerbed. Our Aspen, Regal, Diamond and Bayfire walling options work especially well with low running walls. If you need something with a bit more height, check out our Gravity retaining wall system which is suitable for 1.2m and above ideal if you have a very steep garden and want to make the most of it through a tiered effect.

3. Fire Pits that turn up the heat

A decorative fire pit can help create a focal point in your garden that draws the eye as well as your family and friends on chilly evenings! They can carry your outside room though all seasons, allowing you to really maximise your space. AG has a variety of easily installed fire pits, using our Anchor Walling range and Mile Stone block. These items come in a variety of colours and are made to fit perfectly to your space so you are sure to find one that complements your home.

Remember to keep a record of the different products you think might help make your dream a reality and bring it along when visiting AG’s Outside Rooms centre.
